First Ski

Yesterday was our boys first Ski of the Season!! This darling ski resort is 2 minutes from our house and we love it. It has been snowing since Friday and I am trying to remember why I live here!!
This first picture is of Peyton & Braden. They thought it would be funny to ski into the blue fence around the magic carpet! They didn't get up for a while... they thought that they were sooooooo funny!

Braden, Peyton with Dad! We were having our little lunch break.

Britton, Cam & I... Camden announced to his teacher that she can just call him Cam. I think he feels empowered! He has loved 3rd grade and is even involved in the writing club after school. Brit is a wit! He has only missed 1 spelling word this year so far! And once he figured out that some students received harder seat work, he asked his teacher if he could have the harder seat work! he is a funny one.

Camden coming down his first big run of the season! It was snowing hard. You can't tell by the picture.... but he was kicking and screaming to stay home.... Andrew has decided that his high blood pressure is due to some of our children.

Braden, Britton, Peyton, Andrew, and Camden.
This is our 6 month update.. hopefully I will have more to talk about in the months to come...

It's Been a long time gone!!!

Okay, so it has been a long time since I have had a minute to up load a picture of our family and say hello. Since October we have done lots of things, and the boys accomplished a lot over the school year.
Cam and Brit progressed out of Kindergarten and 2nd grade. YAHOOO.. 2nd grade about killed me.
Camden started playing the piano in November. His teacher is Amazing! Camden chose 'China Town' to play at his recital, because at the time he was studying about China in school. We were so proud of him! It takes a lot of courage for Camden to get up in front of others. He is amazing!
Braden at the Rockies game! He is so darling, this is my favorite picture of him.
So we had to drive up to the top of Rocky Mountain National Park in May when it opened. It is crazy how high the snow is. They plow through the roads so that they can open them to traffic after winter. We thought that the snow would be crusty and icy, but it was very soft and slushy. Then next day they had to close the pass because of a snow slide.
Last but not least we went to the Pancake Breakfast at the Granby Airport. For a small town airport it was impressive. 60 planes flew in over the corse of 4 hours. Kids loved the pancakes and we loved not cooking breakfast.
We love and miss you all..

Some more summer

In September Braden & Peyton started Preschool. They are so excited to go and have a great time. In the spring the Preschool at the Ranch closed, but the teachers were able to open a new preschool in town, which I am a board member of now. Which is great because it is nice to know what is going on.
So I have always wanted to enter a quilt into a fair. I have no idea why (okay because I really wanted to win something) I won Grand Champion over all sewing and got 4 ribbons. I also won a total of two dollars.. I had to spell it out for greater impact. This is my Flying Santa quilt.. I should have spread it out, but I wanted a picture of the ribbons.
I called Marilyn L that quilted this quilt and our Michigan Quilt.. just to let you know ladies She has done a million Michigan quilts (okay not a million) and there is another group of 9 ladies starting another quilt. so fun!!

It has been a while.....

Hello Friends and Family, It has been a while... so I will update ya'll on our crazy summer and what is going on with us!!
Okay, so my pictures are in no order at all... but they are all from this summer...
This past weekend we had 20 visitors at our house... Can you say Hunting Season? on Wednesday Andrew's Dad and his friend Mike came into town. After that Carol and Charlynn and girls came. We took them down town to check out all the Scarecrows in town. This picture is of Doris. She crashed in front of the Dental office.. she also won 2 1st prize ribbons. YouGo Doris!!! The girls in the office did a great job! On Friday Amy, Ken, and the kids came in along with my sister Jess and Mike and there cute boys. We worked on our Advent calendar and chatted all night. It was so fun. The weekend was a success... projects completed-1 Elk Killed- 0!

On July 20th we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication. It is such an amazing temple and it is so beautiful inside. I really wanted the boys to see inside a temple and feel the spirit within. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Burns and Grandma Reames. Kathleen also came with the kids and we had so much fun visiting with them. Hopefully someday there will be a temple in the mountains of Colorado.
What a fun weekend we had playing with Charlynns girls and hanging out with family.

Denver Aquarium!! If you haven't been, it is well worth it! I took the boys while Andrew was working and at the end there is the restaurant. There are 2 huge fish tanks and it was really nice. The boys are sharks.
So my only advise is to call ahead and make sure that there are not any snot nosed school groups that clog everything where ever they go.. (can you tell it was one of those days?)

At the end of Aug Camden and Britton started school. Cam is my amazing 2nd grader and The Britton is a big Kinder! You know he loves school when he can dress himself in the morning. This past week has been the first week they have ever missed.. all 4 boys have been sick with 'flu like symptoms'. Who knows what they have.. i just hope it was H1N1.. then I won't have to bother with the shots...
Britton is our funny man.. I am sure if I was a teacher I would laugh all day long.

In Aug we met Grandma Reames and Matthew in Steamboat springs. We had so much fun! This is Fish falls.. it was an easy hike and the boys loved it. We love Steamboat, even though it is a lot like where we are.

Last but not least this picture was taken in our basement. Crazy.. these twin dear would totally hangout on our deck. The other night when we were watching a movie a fox was looking in. I have to remind myself that we are living in there neighborhood..

T-Ball, Baby Boy in girly PJ's & New Home

We have had a crazy few months! T-Ball started for Camden.  I do have to admit that I LOVE T-Ball.  Can't beat 3 innings and all the kids have a chance to run around the bases.
Over Memorial Day we were planning on going up to Bear Lake, but since no other cousins were going to be there we decided to head to SLC.  We loved hanging out with our cousins.  Andrew forgot to grab our luggage out for Grandpa's car, so Peyton got to wear Ainsley's PJs.  So So Cute!
Hurray Hurray!!! This week we get to move into our new home.  It is 5 min from the little ski resort that the boys skied at all winter.  We are so excited to never move again!  It is totally NOT a Mountain home.  Which we are so excited about.  Many homes up here are for 2nd home owners with not much storage or things that we felt were important.
We have been so stressed out about financing it... it was easier to buy a home when we were first married.. it was cake back then.

Spring Break, Birthdays & much more

For spring break this year we thought it would be fun to head over to Steamboat Springs.  We love the little town... fun shopping, hot springs and a gondola!  The boys had tons of fun swimming and having a break from normal life.  Lesson learned: for spring breaks in the future we will never go to another place that is colder and has more snow then our house!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Braden & Peyton.  The big 3 came quicker then we thought it would.. okay so we can't believe that we have lived 3 years with twins.  All they wanted for their birthday was an ice cream cake.  I am not sure where they heard of an ice cream cake!  To be honest they have been a joy in our family and we can't imagine our lives with out them!  We love that they are always together, love there brothers and keep us hopping!
Next up for our family... new house?  We will move in the middle of June.  So far things look good for our closing.. we won't believe it until it happens!  I will post picts when we are in it.. We miss you all.

Great Weekend

I know that you California Girls are so jealous of the Snow.  I don't know how you can live in a place that will never bring you 250 inches of snow a year.  I just don't understand.
We had the best weekend ever!! First of all it was in the 60s...  On Sat Morning we took the boys up and skied.  Braden and Peyton skied with Andrew. Okay, you really have to visualize Andrew with one of the twins between his legs coming down the mountain.  They loved it.  Cam & Brit were able to ski with some of there little buddies.  We ate on the deck outside and enjoyed every minute of it.
Later that afternoon we went up to C Lazy U.  The boys had so much fun.  They skied on a private mountain, rode in the snow cat, were pulled on a tube behind the snowmobile, and enjoyed good friends.
We relaxed and enjoyed every minute of if!
A few weeks ago Amy P and I went to 'Time out for Woman' in Denver. We saw Michelle M & Tanya G, and darling April M. Along with a few friends we met when we lived in Pocatello. It was great reminder that I have amazing friends.

5 more weeks till Spring.... so we think

Braden and Peyton are soooooooo big now!! We have taught them how to change each others diapers.. it is great!  Who needs to be potty trained?
Actually I am ready to shave my head, so I won't start to tear my hair out with there activities.  3 days ago they discovered how to clime out of their cribs.  Granted they will be 3 in 1 1/2 months.  That is crazy.  They just need to make it until June when we move into a new house.. hopefully!!  They have also been know to take all there clothes off and run around up stairs with out mommy knowing. you can only imagine.
Life has been busy, but nothing really to blog about.  The boys go skiing every Saturday.  We had the twins out last Saturday. it was so cute.  There were these twin 16 year old boys that stopped and talked to me about the boys.. It was cute.
Here are a few pictures I took with Andrew's camera he uses in his office.  I think it is senseless to spend so much on a camera and take pictures of nasty teeth...  So I put it to good use.
Snow report: we still have lots of it!!

Britton's Hot Moves on the Ski Hill

Britton  & His Amazing Technique!

Merry Christmas, Ski Lessons & Museum

Merry Christmas Everyone.   These past few weeks have been crazy!  I can't believe that Christmas is over and we will be heading out to UT to visit Family in the next few days.
Yesterday Camden and Britton took there first successful ski lessons.  We have a little ski resort 5 min from our house.  Britton is in the top picture. They had so much fun.  Andrew just skied the hill all day waiting till 3 when the boys were done. Hurray for ski lessons

Camden also enjoyed the day. In January he starts ski school, where he will go 5 weeks on every friday.  They have got it together here for sure with the snow.  We are heading up to the National Park to try out our snow shoes.. should be eventful!

Merry Christmas!  This was Christmas Morning.  The girls at the office gave the boys this basketball hoop and balls. It was so thoughtful.  The boys have been playing with it this morning.  I love new pjs for Christmas.. or anytime of the year!
More Traditions... This year we continued with our gingerbread house tradition.  The boys had so much fun.  Andrew was the judge after we were done.  3 days after they sat around, Cam & Brit chose to eat theirs... yummmmm..  We also played our Christmas bingo... I kind of cheated to make it go a little faster... I would look at their cards to see what they needed to win.. oh well.
Christmas Eve we had quite the crowd at our house for the Ham dinner and Christmas Program.  We were able to have the Missionaries over and some families from our area.  Some of the girls from the office also came.  It was the perfect evening.
On Christmas Day we headed over to Kremmling. yeah kind of a weird name.. The boys were able to sled and ride on snowmobiles.. they are learning all about 'big toys' and taking a liking to them.
One Last Amazing Place to Visit.  On the 19th Andrew had a CE Class down in Denver, so instead of sitting in the house I went down with him and took the boys to the Children Museum.  It was so darling. This area that Britton is in was like a forest and the kids could dress up like the animals, find food and live in that particular habitat. In this picture he is an ant.  They had so much fun.  Merry Christmas and Happy New year.  Love, The Burns
